During the public comment period, Cindy Strzletski told the commission that Windcrest Little League will host summer camps for baseball and softball players ages 6–12 beginning June 23. Practices and camps will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 1 at Takis Park and will be open to players of all skill levels.

"They're start on June 23, and it goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays until August 1 to increase skills," Strzletski said, adding that four Windcrest Little League softball teams and three baseball teams advanced to city playoffs this season.

Commissioners asked logistical questions such as whether field lights would be used at night; a city staff member confirmed that the league has access to the lights if needed. Strzletski also noted an ongoing community collection of soft plastics to receive a free bench as a separate volunteer effort.
