The Green Bay Parks and Recreation Commission accepted a donation from the Green Bay Optimist Club to replace two aging scoreboards at East River Optimist Park.

Director (Parks Department) said the existing scoreboards are aging and the club offered to purchase larger replacements. Staff told commissioners that installation can use existing posts and electrical is already available, so installation costs should be minimal; park crews would perform the installation with possible electrical assistance from Public Works. The Optimist Club committed to help with repairs in the future, and staff recommended approval.

Alder (name not specified) moved approval and the measure passed unanimously. The commission recorded that the installed scoreboards would become city-owned and maintained after installation.
