The Knox County Board of Education approved a resolution June 5 to donate certain land to the Knox County Commission for reservation and construction of the Gibbs Pedestrian Bridge and related improvements.

The resolution authorizes donation of specified parcels for the sole purpose of construction, use and maintenance of the pedestrian bridge and reserves additional county-owned land for the project. A motion by Mister Wright, seconded by Miss Christie, was recorded as carried with no further discussion.
