The Allegany County Personnel Committee on June 4 approved the 2026 workers' compensation budget and related participant assessments.

Heather Bridal, speaking for the county, requested approval of the 2026 workers' compensation budget, noting "there has been no increase since last year." She also said she omitted inclusion of Legislator Bassett on required forms and that she would update the documents.

After a motion and second, the committee voted "Aye" to approve both the budget and the participant assessments. Bridal also presented a settlement item during the same presentation; committee members asked no substantive questions before moving to a vote.

The committee approved the budget and assessments as presented; Bridal said she would make the noted administrative updates to the forms.
