The Thomasville City Council set a public hearing for 6 p.m. July 21, 2025, at 20 Stadium Drive to consider the voluntary annexation of 129 Kennedy Road. The hearing scheduling was approved unanimously.

City staff said the annexation follows standard procedures after the city clerk completed required work to prepare notices and determine the property owner’s request. Council emphasized the annexation is voluntary and initiated by the property owner, not a forced annexation by the city.

The scheduled hearing will give residents and the property owner an opportunity to present comments before the council considers final annexation action.
