Granite County commissioners voted to accept a comprehensive assessment proposal submitted by HDR and approved signature of a master-contract task order so routine maintenance work can proceed.

A county official said HDR was the only firm to submit a bid for the engineering assessment and that the firm has previously completed work for the county. “They have done some work for the county and done a good job,” a speaker said during public comment.

Earlier in the meeting staff introduced a separate recurring task order for maintenance services (referred to in the record as the “master contract for Beth”), and commissioners moved to accept the new annual maintenance contract that covers the upcoming fiscal year.

Commissioners made no changes to the scope presented at the meeting; motions to accept the HDR proposal and the maintenance task order were seconded and approved. Staff said the task order covers routine annual services and will be signed to ensure vendors can proceed before the next week’s deadlines for work scheduling.

No specific dollar amounts for the HDR contract or the task order were stated on the public record during the meeting; staff said the master contract is similar to previous years’ arrangements and likely similar in amount.
