Councilmember Brown asked the administration to explain the status of a veterans signs program that had been raised earlier in the meeting.

"I'd like to know what happened with that, if anyone knows," Councilmember Brown said during announcements.

The city administrator replied that staff will address the project during the upcoming budget process, that implementation requires additional staff time, and that the city had reached an agreement with the VFW on locations but there had been a miscommunication about the project's rollout.

"We're gonna be working in the budget process this year to accommodate the project in a more meaningful way. It's gonna need additional staff time on the city's end, in order to fully implement," the city administrator said. The administrator also said the city had partnered with the VFW but that there had been "some slight miscommunication between the city and the VFW about the rollout of the project." The administrator offered to provide further details as the budget process proceeds.

The remarks were presented as an administrative update; the council did not take formal action or adopt a budget appropriation for the veterans signs during this meeting.
