The Bibb County Board of Education authorized the superintendent to renew the Imagine Learning (Edgenuity) contract for the 2025'26 school year in an amount not to exceed $644,383.65, funded from general funds.

Brian Butler presented the renewal, describing Edgenuity as a virtual platform used in high schools and the VIP Academy for initial credit and credit recovery across core, elective and honors courses aligned to Georgia standards. Board members asked whether costs were escalating or similar to prior years; Butler said the proposed amount is slightly less than last year and that VIP Academy costs were about $50,000 lower than the prior year.

The recommendation passed and will move to the consent agenda.
