Sussex County Council approved final balancing change order 1 for the Waterside Road Improvements contract on June 10, increasing the total contract amount by $10,672.19 and granting substantial completion effective May 9, 2025.

Project Engineer Patrick Brown told the council construction was completed in April and staff will return with the assessment roll and reimbursement billing after final accounting. The change order was presented as final balancing for a Chapter 96 Sussex County Improvement Program project.

Council approved release of retainage per contract documents. Members voted unanimously to approve the change order and substantial completion.
