The Select Board appointed Craig to remain the town’s emergency management director at the June 30 meeting.

Staff said Craig had offered to continue in the role after stepping down from another position and that a 30‑day pause from the date he leaves the board was required before the appointment. Board members said Craig’s experience made him the most qualified person to stay in the position as other leadership transitions occur. The motion to appoint Craig carried on a voice vote.

The board directed staff to prepare and send an appointment letter using standard language — “To whom it may concern” — and to record the appointment in town files.
