The Board of Commissioners approved Lucas County Adult Probation’s request to accept Community Corrections Act (CCA) and Targeted Community Alternatives to Prison (TCAP) grant awards totaling $5,637,452 for fiscal years 2026 and 2027.

Amanda Wilson of adult probation presented the award and its intended uses: “The total grant award is $5,637,452 And we'll fund over 20 positions within the probation department as well as 22 treatment beds at the correctional treatment facility,” she said.

Commissioners moved and seconded the acceptance and approved the grant by roll-call vote. The funds are grant awards and will be used to staff probation positions and to support treatment-bed capacity at the county correctional treatment facility as described in the presentation.
