The Legislative Budget and Audit Committee voted to release the preliminary FY24 State of Alaska single audit to state agencies for response at its May 17 meeting, the committee chair said after the committee returned from executive session.
Senator Grama Jackson, chair of the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee, noted the committee reconvened from an executive session and asked for a motion. Representative Fields moved, “I move that the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee release the FY 24 State of Alaska single audit to agencies for response.” There were no objections and the release was approved by unanimous consent.
The committee convened at 9:02 a.m. and went into executive session under Uniform Rule 22(b)(3) for discussion of a matter that by law may be required to be confidential; the committee returned to open session at 9:49 a.m. The meeting record shows the committee approved the meeting agenda and minutes from April 9 and April 23 earlier in the session, also by unanimous consent.
Senator Jackson thanked staff and auditors for their support during the meeting. The chair and members tentatively scheduled an interim meeting for June 30 in the Anchorage LIO office to consider the final release of the single audit and the final release of the OCS audit, the preliminary release of four sunset audits, and other committee business.
With no further business, Senator Jackson said, “the committee is adjourned at 09:50AM.”
