Siskiyou supervisors reappoint three to Planning Commission, appoint Eller to Area Agency on Aging advisory board

The Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors appointed three incumbents to fill scheduled vacancies on the Planning Commission and approved an appointment to the PSA 2 Area Agency on Aging advisory board.

The clerk’s office reported letters of interest were received from incumbents Blair Hart, Tony Mello and Dusty Veal for three Planning Commission seats (terms ending June 30, 2029). A motion to appoint all three passed with recorded votes: Supervisor Valenzuela — aye; Supervisor Howe — aye; Supervisor Harris — aye; Supervisor Kopsa — aye; Supervisor O’Brien — aye.

The board also filled an unscheduled vacancy on the PSA 2 Area Agency on Aging advisory board by appointing Jenna Genevieve Eller to a four‑year term effective upon appointment. The clerk’s office said it had continued this item from Jan. 7, 2025, and reported positive input from advisory and executive board members regarding Eller’s appointment.
