NEW BERLIN, Wis. — The New Berlin Common Council convened a closed session June 24 to consult with legal counsel about potential litigation regarding an indoor roof collapse, then returned to open session with no action announced.

The council cited Wisconsins open meetings law authority for closed sessions, Wis. Stat. §19.85(1)(g), which permits private consultation with legal counsel regarding pending or likely litigation. The basis stated on the record identified "item 18B, indoor roof collapse claim." The council then moved into closed session following a motion and second and a roll-call vote recorded as all ayes.
