Galveston County Commissioners Court approved procurement actions on July 7 to secure mosquito-control products and services for the season.

For Invitation to Bid ITB25-048 (alticide liquid larvicide 5.20%), county staff said four bids were received and three were identical in price. In accordance with local government code, the winner was selected by drawing a lot; staff announced the name drawn as “S. Opco USA LLC DVA Vaseris.” The court voted 5-0 to award the bid after the drawing.

County staff also reported one submittal for Request for Proposals RFP25-041 for aerial adulticide application services and recommended awarding the contract to AgriLand Aviation. The court approved the recommendation 5-0.

Interim purchasing staff said the awards follow statutory procurement procedures. No contract amounts were read into the record at the July 7 session, and the court did not attach additional expenditures beyond the awards during the meeting.
