During commissioner comments at the June 10 Eastpointe Planning Commission meeting, City Attorney Richard Albright reported that the city council had denied special land use approval for MPX Common Citizen at a recent council meeting, and that MPX Common Citizen subsequently filed a lawsuit against the city.

Albright said MMRMA counsel (the city’s insurance pool counsel) is providing the defense and that the city attorney’s office is assisting with the litigation. He offered to provide the planning commission updates as the case proceeds.
