A City of Lacey staff member announced three community activities: the Comps, Cars & Kids community event, a Bloodworks Northwest blood drive, and the Lacey in Tune summer concert series.

The staff member said Comps, Cars & Kids will be held Saturday, Aug. 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Cabela's parking lot. Attendees are invited to meet Lacey police officers, view SWAT equipment, enjoy bounce houses and free snow cones and popcorn, and support on-site food trucks.

The announcement also promoted a Bloodworks Northwest blood drive; no date or location for the drive was specified in the recording. "You can even help save a life by participating in Bloodworks Northwest blood drive," the staff member said.

On the Lacey in Tune concert series, the staff member said a new Wednesday evening concert starts July 30 at 6:30 p.m., with additional concerts set for Aug. 6 and Aug. 13 at Huntermore Park. Listeners were directed to the park's and city's websites for the full Lacey in Tune lineup and further details.
