State Board of Equalization schedules Taxpayer Bill of Rights hearing Aug. 20, 2025

Lisa Thompson, the State Board of Equalization’s Taxpayers' Rights Advocate, said the annual Taxpayer Bill of Rights hearing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at 10 a.m., and that members of the public may participate in person, by phone or by submitting written comments before the hearing.

The hearing will accept comments on California’s property tax system, the Taxpayers' Rights Advocate annual report and the alcoholic beverage tax program, Thompson said. "Everyone is invited to come before the elected members of the State Board of Equalization to have their voices heard," she said.
