The Kokomo City Board of Public Works and Safety on May 28 approved contract modification No. 3 adding $29,125 for guardrail installation and approved pay estimate No. 4 to Morphy Construction for the Markland Avenue/Shambaugh Run small-structure replacement project.

Don Cree of Stormwater Management presented the item and said the modification reflects construction quantities agreed between Morphy Construction and the engineering department. He recommended the board approve contract modification No. 3 for $29,125 and pay estimate No. 4 for $28,151.25, which includes $873.75 in 3% retainage.

A board member moved to approve the modification and pay estimate for project C2403-1B; another board member seconded the motion and the board recorded the vote as “aye.” The adjusted contract amount after the modification was stated as $932,902.25 in the presentation.

The board did not record further conditions or requests for additional documentation during the meeting.
