The Hammond City Board of Public Works and Safety on April 17 approved change order number 3 for the Marble Street Reconstruction project in the amount of $10,157 to balance contract quantities.

Dean Button explained the change order reconciles overruns on compacted aggregate and other items and noted the funding allocation had been approved at a prior meeting. Button asked for approval and the board approved the change order by voice.

Staff said the change order simply balances quantities and uses funds previously allocated; no additional appropriation was requested at the meeting.
