The Hammond City Board of Public Works and Safety on April 17 authorized execution of a traffic signal maintenance agreement valued at $170,094, a contract the board had previously awarded and which the public works department asked the board to finalize.

Staff said funding for the maintenance comes from the general fund allocation to the public works department and that the item is a routine annual maintenance contract. The department indicated it has budgeted for the renewal and that it has been some time since the contract was last renewed.

The board approved execution of the agreement by voice; no roll-call vote or additional conditions were recorded in the transcript.
