The Village Board approved Change Order No. 1 for the water storage tank exterior painting project to cover two items that exceeded the original scope: welding on the exterior ladder to access the roof hatch and substantially more interior wet repairs than planned. Jason, a village staff member who presented the item, said the contractor completed the project earlier than expected and the tank has been returned to service.

Jason said the project originally anticipated 10 interior wet repairs but the crew completed 35, and the change order covers the incremental work. He added that even with the change order the project remains “well under budget.”

The board moved to approve the change order; the motion passed by voice vote.
