SLATE introduced Eleni Campbell (presented in the meeting as Elianni Campbell), an employment and training specialist who joined the team in January and works with jobseekers to build resumes, improve interviewing skills and develop basic computer literacy.

Campbell described her background in human resources and nonprofit work and said that the role involves both participant services and business services, including helping clients produce clean, recruiter-friendly resumes and practice interviewing. “One good thing I like about this, I can offer perspective from both sides because I worked in HR as a generalist and a recruiter…,” Campbell said, describing how she helps people gain confidence to attend interviews and use online application systems.

Why it matters: SLATE staff said employment and training services are a core part of helping jobseekers prepare for work; the board thanked Campbell for her service and noted the importance of resume quality and employer-facing preparation.
