Board discusses rules revision work and commercial design guidelines update

At the end of the meeting the Board of Zoning and Planning received brief updates on revisions to its rules and regulations and on the city’s commercial design guidelines.

A board member said she was converting a PDF of the rules-and-regulations into an editable Word document and expected to circulate the revised text the following week. Staff said they would share the updated rules when available.

Staff also reported the commercial design guidelines process is moving forward and noted a smaller-than-expected turnout for a public workshop in mid-summer. Staff encouraged board members to attend future public workshops to stay current on guideline development; staff named Angela as the board’s representative for design-guidelines follow-up.

There were no substantive policy decisions recorded on these items; the board adjourned after the updates.
