The College Station City Council voted unanimously July 27 to schedule a public hearing on the FY 2026 proposed budget for Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 6 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers.

Councilmember White moved to set the date, and Councilmember Yancey seconded the motion. The mayor called for the vote; the motion carried with all councilmembers present voting "aye."

This action formally sets the public‑engagement step on the calendar; the budget itself was not adopted on July 27 and remains subject to further council discussion, workshops and any amendments before final adoption and the separate decision on the tax rate.
