McPHERSON — County communications staff updated the board that the radio-tower crew had a late start because of a medical emergency but reported progress installing microwave dishes and ice shields at a new Wyndham tower and scheduled work at the Mountridge tower to establish microwave links.

A communications staff member said, “The dishes are up at the Wyndham new Wyndham Tower. The ice shields are there. They're moving to the Mountridge Tower tomorrow to make the microwaves communicate with each other.” Staff said they will provide another update at the radio meeting on Wednesday.

Commissioners thanked staff for the update. No formal actions were recorded in the meeting transcript.
