Common elements across table drafts included language about a ‘‘safe and beautiful place’’ or ‘‘healthy, safe and resilient community;’’ emphasis on public‑private and intergovernmental partnerships; a desire to preserve rural character while supporting economic opportunity and tourism that does not degrade residents’ quality of life; and the goal of attracting and retaining residents who can live, work and play in the county.

Examples presented by participants included variants that emphasized public service and leadership, stewardship of public lands and natural resources, and support for local livelihoods and small businesses. Facilitators asked attendees to identify recurring words and phrases; words highlighted by multiple tables included "safe," "beautiful," "partnerships," "opportunity," "resilient," and "community." Participants discussed whether the vision should explicitly refer to residents only or include second‑home owners and visitors; that debate led facilitators to record more inclusive phrasing such as "residents, visitors and guests" or simply "everyone."

Facilitators said the five drafts would be combined into a short list of keyword concepts and then edited into a smaller set of recommended statements for staff and community review. The board will receive the refined options after subsequent staff and public engagement steps.
