The Kansas State Board of Examiners in Optometry approved the transfer of the trade name Kansas City Vision Performance Center from Dr. Anita Sani to Dr. Weiss.

Dr. Weiss told the board she currently works two days per week at the Overland Park Kansas City Vision Performance location and is listed under the Alphapointe umbrella as a provider. She described the practice’s focus and referral sources for low-vision care. Board members asked routine questions about practice location and length of service; Dr. Weiss said she has worked at the current location for about 10 months.

A board member moved to approve the trade-name transfer; a second was called and the motion carried unanimously. The president announced the transfer and thanked Dr. Weiss. The approval covers the transfer of the trade name only; the board did not discuss changes to ownership structure, oversight arrangements or contracts at the meeting.
