The Hastings City Council voted 8-0 to approve an administration agreement with the South Central Economic Development District, Inc., for Community Development Block Grant 24‑ED‑003, the Brooklyn Rubber Company project.

Tyler (staff member) summarized the documents, noting the grant amount is $350,000 and that some earlier documents incorrectly listed $360,000. He said $10,000 of the grant will pay SCEDD to administer the grant. "If you recall this item, originally when it was discussed, it's a $350,000 grant. Some of the documents had 360,000 on them. This is $10,000 for SCED to administer the grant," Tyler said.

Councilmember Huntley moved to approve the administration agreement and Councilmember Fong seconded. The council voted 8-0.

No questions were raised during council discussion and staff requested the council's vote to finalize the agreement. The motion carried and staff will proceed with the administration tasks required by the CDBG contract.
