Lynn said the Columbia Works internship will support eight local youth who will visit industry partners and work with companies including Nike, Amcor, Composite Universal and Genentech, plus local R&D partners; the cohort begins July 8 and students will be paid for six weeks of work. She also described a summer advanced‑trades cohort that pairs six Oregon State University engineering students with local residents completing a pre‑trade certificate to obtain an advanced‑trades certificate over the summer.
