Heather, a Pratt County staff member, said she worked on “an amended agreement for an expert for the City of Sawyer.” She reported the City of Sawyer held a special called meeting, signed the amended agreement, rejected a bid for a gas line and accepted a $1,000,000 grant from the Kansas Corporation Commission for the project.

Heather told commissioners the expert had not yet returned an executed copy of the expert services agreement and that, under the agreement’s draft terms, a status update meeting will be required on Aug. 1.

No formal county action was recorded on the matter during this meeting; Heather presented the update so the commission could track the project’s next steps and the pending expert execution.
