Heather, a Pratt County staff member, reported that Great Plains’ commerce grant or incentive application “has been approved.” She said Great Plains had not yet received documentation from the Kansas Department of Revenue but that Representative Hoffman had indicated the revenue portion was approved and that Great Plains expects to start a rebuild soon.

Heather also said she assisted Great Plains with a Pratt Area Development Corporation (PADC) application and expected that application to be submitted this week for review by the July committee meeting.

No formal county vote was recorded; the commission received the update to monitor economic development activity and coordinate any county support needed for rebuild work or incentive documentation.
