The Apache Junction City Council on June 3 voted to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control approve a Series 9 liquor store license for Lucky Bob’s Liquor at 431 West Apache Trail.

City staff said the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses received the application April 24 and that the city clerk’s office posted the required public‑notice and notified the applicant. Staff reported that the city’s four public‑safety departments — police, building and safety, planning and zoning, and Superstition Fire & Medical — submitted recommendations for approval.

The applicant, identified in the record as Sarah Murtala Molchanani, was present at the hearing. After a brief public hearing with no speakers, a council member moved to recommend approval; the motion was seconded and passed on a roll call with all members voting yes.
