Moses Lake — The Moses Lake School District Board of Directors voted unanimously Aug. 7 to approve a proposed easement for Sage Pointe Elementary.
The board heard a short staff overview of the request, noted prior introductions to the easement concept by a city representative, and then moved directly to a vote. A board member moved to approve the easement; another member seconded the motion, and the board voted in favor with none opposed.
The easement discussion was introduced by district staff and referenced prior coordination with the city of Moses Lake. Staff offered to enter the written staff report into the record and said the full packet is available in the meeting agenda. Board members said they had reviewed the attachments and did not raise substantive questions.
The board took the action during the new-business portion of the Aug. 7 meeting; no public comment on the easement was recorded. The motion carried by voice vote; three board members were present and voted in favor, and two members were recorded as excused.
The board did not identify any additional conditions or amendments to the easement during the meeting, and staff thanked city partners for their collaboration.
Board members did not request additional study or reports before approving the easement.
