Erath County Commissioners Court on June 23 approved a software service agreement allowing the county clerk’s land records section to migrate its records to Tyler Technologies’ cloud platform.

County Clerk staff discussed the migration as an alternative to replacing the county’s onsite server. “Colby and I discussed it and agree that the cloud would probably be our best choice,” the county clerk said during the meeting.

Commissioner Stevens moved the motion and Commissioner Ray seconded; the court voted to allow the clerk to enter the agreement. County officials said the expense will be paid from record presentation funds identified for such technology updates and that staff will proceed with contract execution and migration planning.
