Board approves 2025 pupil progression plan unchanged from state template

The Tangipahoa Parish School Board voted to approve the district’s 2025 pupil progression plan, and administrators told the board there were no local changes to adopt.

Mr. Jenko, who presented the plan, said the document contains state law requirements and that "there were no changes from the state, so we have no changes to our pupil progression plan." He told the board the plan is the "bible of how children progress in the district with the state laws embedded."

Nut Graf: The plan formalizes how students move through grades under state policy; the board must sign and submit the plan to the state as part of routine compliance reporting.

Board president Miss Tilly will sign the plan and district staff will file it with state authorities, Mr. Jenko said. A motion to adopt the administration’s recommendation passed on a board vote; voting was conducted electronically and the chair announced, "Voting is open. Motion carries."
