The Northwell Village Board approved waiving the bidding process and awarded the Parkway tree replacement contract to Fields on Caton Farm for $42,800 at its Aug. 18 meeting.

Staff said the program includes replacing 125 parkway trees across the village. Fields on Caton Farm had been awarded the contract in 2023 and offered to hold its 2023 prices again in 2025; staff said typical price increases on similar projects run 10 to 15 percent. Based on the vendor27s past performance and the favorable pricing, staff recommended waiving the competitive-bid process and awarding the contract directly to the vendor.

The board approved the award by roll call.
