Public-works staff told the committee they received three bids for masonry wall repairs at Budweil and Fabick parks and recommended awarding the work to Stat, the lowest responsive bidder, for approximately $31,000. Dan (public works) said the low bid covered needed stone and brick repairs, including using salvaged bullnose brick where feasible. Aldermen asked whether the work would include tuckpointing (it will not) and confirmed the approach to replacement materials.

Alderman Hill moved to forward the low bid recommendation for approval at the full board meeting; Alderman Jokers seconded. The motion passed by voice vote and the staff will request the full board authorize the contract award to the recommended bidder.
