Four members of the Urbana Free Library Board of Trustees — Deb, Beth, Julia and Charice — were sworn in at the start of the July 8 meeting.
A trustee administered the oath of office to the four members simultaneously; each trustee stated their name and the oath affirming support for the U.S. and Illinois constitutions and to faithfully discharge the duties of library trustee. Signatures and oath paperwork were completed or left to be signed before members left the meeting.
The ceremony was brief. The board then took its regular roll call and proceeded with the agenda.
