At its March 18 meeting the Town of Danvers Select Board recorded a set of routine but formal approvals: minutes, license managerial/officer changes, proclamations, closure of the annual town meeting warrant and acceptance of the consent calendar.
The board approved the minutes of March 4 and March 12. It also approved Stop & Shop's application for a change of officers and directors and approved a change of manager for Costco Liquors (DBA Costco Liquors) at 11 Newberry Street. Town staff confirmed required paperwork was in order for both applications.
The board issued proclamations recognizing May 2025 as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and proclaiming Arbor Day in April 2025. Both proclamations passed after brief presentations by community representatives and a prepared reading from the board.
The board voted to close the warrant for the 2025 Annual Town Meeting at noon on Friday, March 21. The board also accepted the consent calendar as presented.
Each of these items passed on voice vote; the transcript records the motions, seconds and the board's announced "Aye" responses. Individual tallies were not recorded in the transcript.
