Supervisors approve expedited rezoning case 24-22

YUMA — The Yuma County Board of Supervisors approved rezoning case number 24-22 on Monday in an expedited hearing, adopting the Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation.

Carrillo, a senior planner, answered supervisors' questions during the expedited review before the board opened and closed the public hearing with no members of the public speaking. "I'll go ahead and open the public hearing. Anybody from nobody from the public. I'll go ahead and close the public hearing and bring it back to the board for action," the chairman said during the item. Supervisor Lynn moved approval and a second followed. The motion carried.

Staff had presented the rezoning packet and noted the legal descriptions and public review materials were on file at the Board of Supervisors office. The rezoning was acted on as a group of expedited items and adopted by a single motion.
