The Elko County School District Board voted March 18 to accept a proposed schedule assigning trustees to attend school events, graduations and site visits at multiple schools across the district.

Board members discussed preferences for which schools and events they would attend; one trustee asked to be assigned to Battle Born Youth Academy and West Wendover High School, among others. The chair read a consolidated assignment list naming trustees for Spring Creek, Carlin, adult education, BBYCA, West Wendover, Jackpot and other sites. A motion to accept the list was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. “Chair votes aye as well. Motion passes,” was recorded in the transcript.

The assignments are administrative and intended to ensure trustee presence at school events and to balance travel among board members. No further discussion or amendments were recorded.
