The East Point Planning and Zoning Commission elected new officers at the meeting. Following a review of the commission's bylaws by city counsel, commissioners nominated and elected Patricia Fuqua Lovett as chair, Will Miller as vice chair and Wayne Watson as provisional chair.

Attorney Wiggins reminded the commission the bylaws require election of officers at the February meeting and outlined the one-year term for each officer. The chair and vice chair nominations proceeded in order. Patricia Fuqua Lovett accepted her nomination and was elected by voice vote; Will Miller was nominated and elected vice chair; Wayne Watson was nominated and elected provisional chair. Commissioners conducted the votes by voice and commissioners noted the commission will proceed under the newly elected officers.

The elections followed the commission's bylaws and are effective immediately; commissioners did not record individual roll-call tallies in the transcript.
