The action came after ceremonial introductions of visiting high school athletic teams. House members welcomed the Pembroke High School boys indoor track and field team, which the clerk said won the MIAA Division 4 championship with 74 points at the Reggie Lewis Center, and guests from Somerset Berkley Regional High School, identified as the 2024 field hockey and boys basketball state champions.

The clerk put the question on adoption of the order and recorded a voice vote: “The ayes have it.” Later, Mr. Meridian, a member, moved that the House stand adjourned; that motion also was carried by voice vote. The clerk announced the House would reconvene Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in an informal session.
