The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board approved the meeting agenda by acclamation and later approved the consent agenda, which included minutes and routine department updates.

PRAB chair conducted the two procedural approvals at the meeting opening and during the consent portion. A board member moved to approve the consent agenda and a second was recorded; the chair called for a voice vote and announced the consent agenda approved.

Departures and onboarding: the board marked the departure of several long-serving members and shared brief departing remarks. Staff announced five newly appointed board members and noted orientation and onboarding events: a scheduled orientation for new members in April and a planned onboarding retreat. Staff also noted Rosa will transition to a different city role and that City staff will provide coverage during the change.

Chair and vice-chair election process: staff reminded board members that nominations for the next chair are due in advance of the April meeting and explained the PRAB election protocol: nomination, acceptance and vote recorded at the first April meeting.

Public participation and other business: no members of the public registered to speak at the meeting. Board members and staff closed with recognitions and a brief round of thank-yous to departing members.

Ending: staff said they will forward the approved minutes for signature and will include the board’s comments in upcoming council briefing materials.
