Town staff reported that new signs for Summer Street will be installed within about a week, though one location requires hand excavation because of underground utilities and cobblestone.

Scott (staff) said crews began digging and found a gas main and layers of asphalt and cobblestone beneath the proposed post location, so they are excavating by hand to find a safe spot. “So they actually started digging yesterday,” Scott said, and he anticipated installation “probably the next week or so.”
