The Triton Regional School Committee approved a new agreement with the Public Employee Committee that covers health care benefit design changes for 2025–2028.

Committee members reported that negotiations produced plan-design changes in the district’s HMO and PPO offerings that lowered an initial projected rate increase from 16.21% to 11.408%. The agreement also shifts district/employee premium cost allocations for dental insurance and makes incremental changes in district and member premium costs for Medicare retirement in 2026 and 2027.

In announcing the contract, the chair thanked the Public Employee Committee, district negotiators, and the personnel subcommittee for their work. The motion to approve the contract was moved and seconded; the committee then approved the agreement by voice vote.
