The Town of Greenwich Board of Selectmen unanimously approved routine minutes, a commemorative flag request and four appointments at its Feb. 27 meeting.
In roll-call style motions, the board approved the minutes of the Feb. 13 regular meeting and the Feb. 13 special meeting. Both motions were made and seconded and each vote was recorded as affirmative by First Selectman Fred Camillo, Selectwoman Lauren Rabin and Selectwoman Janet Stone McWiggin.
The board then approved a request to raise a commemorative flag for National Vietnam War Veterans Day. "I move that we approve the request to raise the commemorative flag for National Vietnam War Veterans Day ... on March 29," said Selectwoman Lauren Rabin, who made the motion; the motion was seconded by Selectwoman Janet Stone McWiggin and approved unanimously.
The board confirmed four nominations to local advisory bodies: William Finger (Affordable Housing Trust, term to 03/31/2028); Heidi Nolte (Commission on Aging, term to 06/30/2028); Laura de Bonaventura (Energy Management Advisory Committee, term to 12/31/2028); and Vincent DeFina (Greenwich Communities, term to 07/31/2029). Each appointment was moved by Selectwoman Lauren Rabin, seconded by Selectwoman Janet Stone McWiggin, and approved by the three-member board.
The board made the appointments and approvals by voice vote recorded during the meeting; no dissenting votes were recorded.
The meeting adjourned after the nominations and routine business.
