WENATCHEE, Wash. — The City Council adopted Ordinance 2025-03, the first amendment to the 2025 budget, to add several projects that were not anticipated in the adopted budget, including grant-funded items and convention-center upgrades for furniture, sprinklers and audiovisual equipment.

Brad Posenjack, the finance director, told the council that most items in the amendment were previously discussed and supported by the finance committee. He said the largest single amendment was for convention-center upgrades funded from the convention-center fund, which accumulates money for ongoing maintenance and improvements separate from larger renovation bond proceeds.

Council moved to adopt the ordinance by motion and approved it on a voice vote; the meeting record did not show a roll-call tally.
