MUNDELEIN, Ill. — The Mundelein Village Board voted to award a professional services agreement to HR Green Inc. for design work on Wellington Avenue stormwater improvements and approved a related purchase order in the amount of $27,345.

Trustee Lambert moved and Trustee Juarez seconded the motion. During discussion Trustee Lambert said recent rains left an unusual amount of standing water on Wellington Avenue, and she supported moving the project forward even if completed incrementally. The clerk called the roll and the motion carried by recorded vote.

The award covers professional services for a stormwater-improvement project on Wellington Avenue. Staff characterized the expenditures as budgeted work to address localized flooding and to begin design and engineering tasks that will lead to construction phases.

The village will coordinate the engineering agreement, and the project will proceed through standard design, permitting and construction scheduling steps.
